Discovery Store Rebrand

Project Overview
At university, we were tasked to rebrand a bankrupt store that was given to us. I was given the Discovery Store. The Discovery Store is a now defunct store that sold toys and gadgets targeted at young boys.
My Contributions
I decided to focus on the 'discovery' aspect of the shop, which is why I went with such visuals. The kinetic typography make it feel like you are about to discover something with the movement of the letters. Accompanied by bright colours, the feeling of discovering something new and futuristic is heightened.

2022 Project
The main idea behind this project was to think more about the idea of discovering something new. The still frames of the moving typography give it a feeling of movement. By looking at the text it feels like you are about to discover something that nobody has seen before. It creates leading lines. The flow of the text is an element that I really wanted to highlight in this project. Which leads me on to the use of bright colours. The inside of the bags and even the shop interior has a highlight of a very bright almost neon colour. This is to create the impression that you have in fact discovered something exclusive and something you want to be a part of. With the audience being young boys, the use of colour would also stand out to a younger person as something they'd want to explore.
