Kapral

Product Design
Project Overview
Create a luxury alcohol brand that is closely linked to it's place of origin.
My Contributions
I created Kapral from the ground up. The story behind this bottle is based on a bear named Wojtek, who was enrolled into the polish army in 1943. He finished his service 1945 when the war ended and has become an international icon ever since.
The idea behind the box was heavily inspired by ammunition crates that Poland had used during the second world war as it is well known that Wojtek helped carry ammunition crates onto the battlefield during the battle of Monte Cassino - Italy. The number on the top of the box is the number of the corporal rank in Poland (Which Kapral translates to). The number 3522 is also a number that Wojtek's group was given.

Given that this product is from Poland, I decided to make it a Vodka as it is a very popular spirit in Poland. Traditionally it is made from potatoes and potato scraps which is how it differs from Russian vodka, which is made with a mix of rye and wheat.
